Returns
The following types of fish must be returned to the
water alive and with care: Diseased fish, kelts, mended kelts, baggots
and brown trout under nine inches long.
No Sunday fishing is allowed.
Each year the River Tweed Commissioners tag a number of
fish in the Tweed and the Teviot and if any fish are caught with one
of these tags, anglers are requested to send the tag immediately to:-
The River Tweed Commissioners, The North Court,
Drygrange Steading, Melrose TD6 9DJ together with the captor’s name
and address, exact position of capture and date of capture.
There is a part-time River Keeper, who is
employed by the Estate who will be able to help you with information
and any problems you have.
